BRANDS HATCH
Used originally as a dirt track for motorcycles, Brands Hatch, located in Kent, England, hosted 12 runnings of the Formula One British Grand Prix from 1964 to 1986 and is one of the tracks available in SHIFT.
From above, the track looks like an upside-down musical note, but the only sweet sounds coming off Brands Hatch are the squealing tires of cars barreling down its 2.3-mile asphalt path.
Nigel Mansell still holds the all-time lap record on the track, which he originally set in 1986 at one minute, nine seconds, but that was in a Williams FW11, one of the most successful cars in the history of F-1. There’s no prize for beating his lap time in SHIFT other than the satisfaction of beating the best.
